Before building guitars as a professional luthier I had a career entirely elsewhere. After graduation I worked as an engineer designing light steel structures. I also studied architecture which has always been of great interest to me. Later, my essential career was in IT sales and marketing for about 25 years.
Since 11 years old playing acoustic guitar has been a beloved hobby, with emphasis on fingerstyle. I built my first own guitars in 1997.
In 2013 I started collaboration with a good friend, masterluthier Juha Lottonen at Lottonen Guitars. It was an invaluable experience in learning the art of luthiery and workshop operations and helped me to become part of the guitar building community.
In 2018 it was time to set up my own shop and implement my ideas about high performance acoustic steel string guitars. Partly due to my engineering background I've always been enthusiastic about the behaviour of the guitar and ways to improve its performance.
My workshop is located in Espoo in southern Finland. I'm a member of European Guitar Builders and Guild of Finnish Luthiers.
